ARTIST/COMEDIAN

[ad#300x250inpost]

We already knew that in addition to being a fantastic punter, Chris Kluwe is also a musician. Now you can add Artist and Comedian to his titles.

Kluwe drew a hilarious diagram illustrating the NFL’s new illegal hitting policy, mocking it for caring about quarterbacks and receivers but not giving a shit about punters. [LOOK at Chris Kluwe’s illustration of the NFL’s new illegal hitting policy.]

There’s a lot of hue and cry about the new policy. The Pioneer PressBob Sansevere has got the quotes from Percy Harvin, who thinks it’s ridiculous and Pat Williams, who says the policy ignores defensive players.

SCREENING
According to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com, the Vikings and Packers are among the least effective teams in the league when it comes to executing screens.

Chester Taylor. That’s all I have to say.

WALKING WOUNDED
The Vikings: Wide receiver Percy Harvin (hamstring); offensive lineman Ryan Cook; safety Husain Abdullah (concussion); tight end Jim Kleinsasser (groin); cornerback Lito Sheppard (hand); cornerback Chris Cook (knee); offensive lineman Chris DeGeare (ankle); linebacker E.J. Henderson (knee); center John Sullivan (calf); quarterback Brett Favre (ankle, right elbow); defensive end Brian Robison (ankle); defensive tackle Letroy Guion (toe).

With the exception of Abdullah, everyone practiced this week.

The Packers: Wide receiver Donald Driver (quadriceps); offensive tackle Chad Clifton (knee); defensive end Cullen Jenkins (hand); safety (knee); linebacker A.J. Hawk (groin); offensive lineman Marshall Newhouse (back); cornerback Charles Woodson (toe); safety Atari Bigby (knee); cornerback Al Harris (knee); linebacker Brady Poppinga (knee).

Poppinga is the only one who is out for sure.

83
The number of first downs the Vikings D has given up this year, the least in the league. Rotsa ruck, Aaron.

9
The number of sacks Jared Allen has had against Green Bay during his career. Will Sunday be his coming out party for the year?

CHRIS COOK BACK?
It’s looking like cornerback Chris Cook could be ready to play Sunday night, if only on a limited basis. If he does step on the field, he’ll likely play as the nickleback and his snaps will probably be limited until he gets full conditioned.

Now we get to see if Cook is an injury-prone player. Three injuries within a close proximity to one another that put a player on the shelf for a significant length of time is, in my book, the definition of injury prone.

Any amount of playing time that would limit the damage Lito Shepperd could allow would be appreciated, Chris.

OPPOSITION RESEARCH
As always, I got your back when it comes to opposition research. Visit the Green Bay Packers News page at Minnesota Vikings Chat for links to all the news sites, blogs, and forums for this week’s hated opponent. [RESEARCH: Green Bay Packers News.]
