Rhett Bomar Highlights

The Vikings newest player, Rhett Bomar, was signed from the New York Giants’ practice squad. The Giants chose Bomar with the 151st overall pick (round 5, pick 15) in the 2009 draft. The 6’2″, 225 lbs. quarterback has not thrown a pass in an NFL game. Here’s his NFL.com profile.

In college, Bomar was dismissed from the Oklahoma Sooners team in 2006 after it was reported that he was paid for work he didn’t actually perform, a violation of NCCA rules. As a result, he finished his college career with Sam Houston State.

The incident might also explain the profusion of YouTube videos featuring Bomar getting nailed. Seems like he inspires a bit of antagonism.
