Daily Chat: Tahi, D'Imperio & College Fullbacks

2011 NFL DRAFT HIGHLIGHTS: TOP 5 FULLBACKS
You know how much of a Nafahu Tahi fan I am, and though I have high hopes for Ryan D’Imperio, we could use some insurance at fullback. The following are the top five offensive tackles in the 2011 NFL draft, according to DraftCountdown.com. They are, in order, 1) Owen Marecic, 2) Stanley Havili, 3) Anthony Sherman, 4) Shaun Chapas and 5) Charles Clay. [WATCH Highlights Of The Top 5 Fullbacks In The 2011 Draft.]

Cameron Newton is on a lot of mock drafts landing with the Vikings. Auburn faced off against Oregon last night in the BCS National Championship game. [WATCH Cam Newton’s Highlights.]

COACHING CAROUSEL

[ad#300x250inpost]

The Star Tribune‘s Judd Zulgad reports that Vikings defensive line coach Karl Dunbar has been offered to fill the same role in Tampa Bay. It’d kinda suck losing Dunbar because he’s done an excellent job with the D-line.

His colleague Chip Scoggins reports that Frazier did interview former Denver Broncos special teams coach Mike Priefer for the same position with the Vikes.

Meanwhile, ESPN.com’s Kevin Seifert has a bit of a hissy fit about how he perceives Leslie Frazier may be treating Childress staffers Darrell Bevell and Brian Murphy.

Seifert makes it clear he doesn’t have any direct knowledge of the situation and allows that Frazier may be acting entirely honorably but nevertheless makes a judgment:

Frazier has managed to keep a lid on most of what is going on behind the scenes, so for all we know he has already dismissed the incumbent coordinators. Or he is giving them time to find another job without the public stigma of being fired. But if neither of those scenarios is accurate, then the Vikings have followed bad form.

Hmm. How did Seifert become the moral arbiter of the NFL?

I don’t remember voting for him.
