It appears the Vikings needed some safety help after Anthony Harris left his ankles on the Arrowhead Stadium field.

The team has claimed former and now present safety Andrew Sendejo after the Philadelphia Eagles let him go.

Sendejo (6-1, 210) rejoins the Vikings after spending the first nine weeks of the season with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he appeared in nine games (one start) and made 26 tackles, two passes defensed, 1.0 sack, two tackles for loss and one interception, and at least one injured teammate in a friendly fire incident.

The San Antonio, Texas, native had previously spent eight seasons (2011-2018) in Minnesota, appearing in 93 games with 58 starts and totaling 341 tackles, 1.0 sack, six interceptions and 17 passes defensed.

Sendejo originally entered the NFL in 2010 as an undrafted free agent with Dallas, appearing in two games for the Cowboys that season.

The highlight of Sendejo’s first stint with the Vikings was his interception of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees during the 2017 NFC Divisional Playoff Game victory.

The Vikings waived safety Marcus Epps to make room for Sendejo. Presumably, the Vikings will look to add Epps back to the practice squad if he clears waivers. Epps was claimed off waivers by…The Eagles.
