Harrison Smith Highlights

With their second pick, the Vikings gave the Baltimore Ravens their second round (35th overall) and a fourth (98th) round pick to move back into the first round to take Notre Dame safety Harrison Smith with the 29th pick.

Smith stands 6’2″ and weighs 213 lbs. with 32 5/8″ arms and hands that measure 10 1/4.” Though he wore the same number at Notre Dame, I hope the Vikings clued him in to what the number 22 means to Viking history.

It was the same number former Vikings Hall of Fame safety Paul Krause wore. Though he retired in 1979, Krause still holds the career interceptions record with 81. The closest current player to that record, Ed Reed, has 57 interceptions.
